NetFlix Spreads to Windows Media Center Print E-mail
Wednesday, 20 May 2009
ImageYou can now access Netflix on your TV through Windows Media Center, ideal for those with Windows based media servers.  The Netflix application is available through the Media Center main menu by clicking the TV+Movies tab.  Microsoft has already offered Netflix to subscribers of Xbox Gold, and now it seems they want to make the service more widely available.  Users will now have access to the 12,000 and growing titles, including new releases of movies and hit TV shows, on their Windows Media Center setup.

The functionality is virtually identical to surfing the titles on your PC.  Netflix has been available on consumers TVs through a variety of other services for some time, including TiVo, the $99 Roku box, a handful of Blu-Ray players and more.
