Marantz has detailed it latest audio products, the NA8005 Network Audio Player/DAC and the PM7005 Integrated Stereo Amplifier/DAC. Based on the previously released NA-11S1, the NA8005 is geared toward delivering similar performance and features at a more affordable price point.

The device comes equipped with an Ethernet port to access internet radio, Spotify Connect, and Apple Airplay. Likewise, the player offers DLNA 1.5 compatibility and playback support for many audio files types including WAV, WMA, MP3, MPEG-4 AAC, FLAC, and ALAC, along with FLAC HD 192 kHz / 24bits and WAV 192 kHz / 24bits files. A front USB-A and a rear USB-B port are integrated as well. The latter port allows users to connect the device to a PC in order to act as the computer's soundcard. In addition, digital and coaxial inputs are included as well. Finally, the NA8005 also features a high-class Digital-Analogue-Converter that uses Marantz's HDAM and HDAM-SA2 in a hybrid configuration for low noise and high speed.

Meanwhile, the PM7005 features 2x80w into 4 ohms, HDAM SA3 circuitry, and a high-speed instantaneous-current power supply. Like the NA8005, the amplifier also offers an integrated DAC and a USB-B port for connecting the device to a computer. The amplifier can then playback 192kHz/24-bit PCM and DSD2.8 and DSD5.6 high-resolution audio files.

The NA8005 is expected to start shipping this month for a suggested retail price of $1,200. The PM7005 will be available in August for a suggested retail price of $1,000.
