Pragmatic Announces the Muse Music Server Print E-mail
Monday, 16 March 2009
ImageThe MuSe, a new hard disk based media server from Pragmatic Communication Systems, Inc., is hitting the music server market soon.  It is designed for industrial, commercial or high-end residential installations. It uses four channels to playback stereo sound, and it can access music from a number of sources, including the internal drive, USBs, DVD Roms, or anything hooked up to the network.  Users can create playlists of up to 5,000 songs, and store songs on the 80 GB hard drive, which can be updated to a capacity of 400 GB or more.

Playback occurs 24/7, if the user requires, and it is totally autonomous – no need for a keyboard or mouse.  It is relatively lightweight, weighing 39 pounds, and its switchable power supply makes it an energy efficient media server.
