Elite Adds Slow Retraction Mechanism to Manual Projection Screens
If you’ve used a manual projector screen before, you’ve experienced how much of a pain it is to get the screen to roll back up.  When it works flawlessly, things are fine.  But when things go wrong, you’ve got one of two scenarios.   The first is that you could pull too hard and damage the screen or spring mechanism.  The second is that the screen could retract too quickly, knock over and even damage the installation.

Elite Screens Announces New Screen Material
Elite Screens is launching their VMAX Plus4 projection screen material this week.  It can be requested in a variety of sizes between 180" and 400".  It can be used for 16:9, 4:3 or 1:1 aspect ratios.  The screen is built with wireless and direct wired options for control.

Elite Screens Offers Up the Osprey Alternating Projection Screen
The Osprey dual-format projection screen hit the market yesterday from Elite Screens, Inc.  It is capable of displaying 2.35:1 Cinemascope or 16:9 HDTV images depending on the input format.  This will allow customers who have a projector with dual-mode stretch functionality to incorporate two formats into a single device.

Screen Research is adding another product to its line of SolidPix screen fabrics designed for home theater and professional projector usage.  GrayPix is an ultra-contrast fabric that is engineered to produce the best performance in situations that require contrast levels that are higher than normal.
