Denmark’s dnp known for innovative optical screen technology and their latest development is being called the Supernova screen. It enables projected images to be seen clearly and vividly, maintaining color saturation and fine details even in environments with high ambient light. The new screen is reportedly capable of delivering an image with a peak gain of 2.0 that is twice as bright and has a contrast ratio of 20:1, ten times greater than most screens. When an image is projected onto the screen it passes through an optical lens system which focuses and concentrates the projected light before it is reflected back towards the viewers. The lens system has a patented contrast enhancement filter that absorbs incidental light from windows and room lighting, resulting in a screen that is highly resistant to ambient light. Screen Innovations has introduced their Mirage Screen, a front projection screen that allows users to see clear images in high-brightness environments, just as they would in the dark. The screen features a high-contrast filter covering 60% of the screen surface which allows images to be reflected by the screen and also absorbs incidental light from other angles. By absorbing light coming in through windows or other sources, the screen is mostly unaffected by ambient light.

Screen Research has announced the availability of two new frame styles – dubbed the I-frame and J-frame – designed to give professional system integrators more flexibility in their installations. They are also a lower cost option that makes Screen Research’s patented micro-fiber based acoustically transparent screens competitive with most solid screens on the market. These new frames are available immediately through their North American distributor, StJohn Group.

Screen Research has announced availability of a new screen formulation – ClearPix1, or CP1 microfiber fabric. It is available through their North American distributor, StJohn Group. The new fabric has been released as a non-certified material for the consumer who desires to locate the center channel behind the screen. It can be used on all Screen Research fixed frames – Supreme, Classic, and the new integrator frames, the I-frame and J-frame. According to Screen Research, pricing lines up with most non-AT screens on the market. Entry-level integrator frames start at $925 MSRP. Standard frame models start at $1,225.

Screen Research has announced hundreds of new products that are currently available through their North American distributor, StJohn Group. The company has also lowered pricing on dozens of existing models.
