Samsung is reeling us in with their new technologies.  They recently astounded us with a flexible OLED screen and the largest OLED display, at 40 inches.  Now, they have unleashed another monster on us – the 4k by 2k Plasma Display.

What Does the Future Hold for a Flexible Plasma Display?
While Stewart has the CineCurve Projection Screen, a Japanese start-up company is delivering something even more profound – a 125-inch Curved Plasma Display.  The technology comes from Shinoda Plasma.  Best thing of all, it weights a total of 7.9 pounds.  The Plasma array uses thin pieces of glass that measure just .1 mm thick, measuring 3 meters wide by 1 meter tall.

Panasonic Introduces New Series of Plasma HDTVs
Panasonic Professional Display Company unveils its new Premiere Series line of high-end home theater plasmas. The Premiere Series launch kicks off with the introduction of the first model, the TH-65VX100U, a 65-inch full high-definition plasma display targeting the high-end custom home theater enthusiast. This model is scheduled for a January 2009 release and recently received a positive "first look" review from recognized HDTV industry veteran/expert, "HDTV Guru" Gary Merson on his popular website,

Hitachi Unveils Ultra-Thin 50-inch Plasma HDTV
Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc. has unveiled the first Plasma Display Panel in its UltraThin “1.5” family. This gorgeous new plasma addition to Hitachi’s 1.5 line – so named for its ultra thin 1.5-inch depth – will be offered in a 50-inch screen size, making it among the largest in the UltraThin category. In fact, it represents one of the world’s thinnest, at approximately one-third the depth of other plasma displays.

Panasonic Unveils Internet Enabled VIERA Plasmas
Panasonic has introduced attendees to the 2008 CEDIA convention to the latest additions in the company's already acclaimed internet enabled Plasma line, the PZ850 series. Joining the TH-50PZ850 and the TH-46PZ850, the industry's first internet enabled TVs, are the 58-inch class (58-inches measured diagonally) and the TH-65PZ850 class (64.7-inches measured diagonally), giving Panasonic a wide breadth of screen sizes in the flagship series of high performance Plasma TVs. Building upon the market and critical success of Panasonic's previous Plasma models, the 2008 PZ850 series includes a number of step-up features that will further strengthen Panasonic's leadership position.
