Video gamers around the world are flocking to stores to pick up the Xbox 360, the newest video game system from Microsoft, but home theater enthusiasts are lamenting the fact that there is no digital video output such as HDMI or DVI. When the system was officially announced in the spring of 2005, there was quite a bit of speculation about whether the system would feature one of the upcoming new high definition disc formats. The rumor mill has Sony building their Playstation 3 on the Blu-ray disc format, so many home theater enthusiasts were hoping that Microsoft would work out a deal to build HD DVD capabilities into the Xbox. The product press releases touted the Xbox 360 as having the ability to play video games in high definition and it does support 480p, 720p and 1080i output. D-Link has created the world's first Gaming Router, the GamerLounge, that has been optimized for PC, Xbox and PlayStation2 games. The GamerLounge wireless router (DGL-4300) has D-Link’s GameFuel technologies, a packet processing engine integrated on the router, giving online games precedence for bandwidth over all other Internet applications, email and FTP transfers. The GamerLounge also has four 1,000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports with up to 108Mbps 802.11g wireless connectivity for LAN party and WLAN connections.

eSommelier has introduced the eSommelier Wine Management Server, a hardware and software system, which allows collectors to access their entire wine library via a touch screen interface. In the past, wine management typically consisted of either handwritten journals or spreadsheet programs that required the user to manually enter all of the information about each bottle of wine. This was not a problem for a small collection, but for collections that exceeded 1000 bottles, the time spent typing in the information was significant.

Michael Moore is currently planning a sequel to his controversial film “Fahrenheit 9/11,” which criticizes President George W. Bush over September 11, the war on terrorism and more. As reported to Daily Variety magazine, Moore said he met with Harvey Weinstein of Miramax, who produced Fahrenheit 9/11, and are hoping to complete the film in 2-3 years.
