Vivid Audio Relaunching High End Speakers
Vivid Audio, from South Africa, will be relaunching eight speaker models in the coming weeks and months.  The first model to be unveiled, the flagship Giya G1 (SRP: $50,000) will be shown during the Munich High-End Show next week.  Few details are known about this premium speaker except that it is a floor-standing, four-way speaker built in an unconventional cabinet.

The Summit X Loudspeaker is Announced by MartinLogan
The Summit X hybrid electrostatic loudspeaker from MartinLogan is the next generation of hybrid speakers in the company’s iconic Summit line.  This redesign of the Summit is aimed towards widening its appeal, and cementing its place as the high-end hybrid loudspeaker of choice for MartinLogan consumers.  The Summit X uses Vojtko crossover engineering inspired by CLX, a high resolution XStat electrostatic transducer and Controlled Dispersion PoweredForce low-distortion woofers to create open and precise midranges and deep, smooth and clean bass.

Canton Expands Reference Line with Three New Loudspeakers
Three new speakers, Reference 5.2 DC, ($10,000/pair) Reference 7.2 DC, ($7,000/pair) and Reference 9.2 DC ($4,000/pair), have been recently added to Canton’s flagship line.  These speakers use revolutionary engineering, according to Canton, in their aluminum oxide ceramic dome tweeter.  Each tweeter uses a smaller dome radius that has improved distortion and power handling.

Revel Ultima Salon2 & Bryston 28B Combined
American Theater has announced the release of a new match made in audiophile heaven: the Revel Ultima Salon2 floor-standing loudspeakers and Bryston 28B 1000-watt mono-blocks.  The devil (or in this case, blissful, glorious sound) is in the details.  Kevil McEvoy, the owner of American Theater, and his team have installed this set using 1.5-2 meter length Straightwire Crescendo II speaker cables and placed the amps behind the massive Revels.
