When people want a giant screen at a low price, or they want to pick up the biggest TV around, Mitsubishi has been accommodating.  They've provided massive DLPs for the same price as much smaller LCDs and plasmas.  They've also innovated and worked with different technologies, such as their use of lasers.  That's all over, as it turns out.  Mitsubishi has officially announced the end of its TV business.

Redbox Instant has been one of the big question marks in world of streaming video and some details have finally been revealed.  The folks at GigaOm dug around in Redbox and came upon a support page for the service that shows a $6/mo price for unlimited streaming with an option to rent four DVDs a month for $2 more.  There's no word yet on what the plan is regarding Blu-ray rentals.

TVs just keep getting bigger, with each company trumping the other over and over again.  The latest mega set is from Sharp, who has constructed a 90 inch LCD display that's equipped with local dimming LEDs and promises excellent performance, even in places with high amounts of ambient light.  That's essential, because the PN-R903 is made for use in commercial signing.

Atmos is one of the biggest things to hit theaters since 3D and unlike 3D which requires glasses and induces headaches, Atmos requires only that you go to an equipped theater to enjoy your film.  It takes the traditional surround sound that we've gotten used to and makes it even more specific, allowing for pinpoint sound and a more immersive experience.  If you want to get your Atmos fix, you can check out 'Life of Pi' or 'The Guardians,' both of which are out now.

The list of theaters is below.
