LG has announced a new premium monitor, the MP76. The 24-inch display features an IPS full HD panel for superior color and viewing angles, and uses the company's sleek "Cinema Screen" design. "The MP76 strikes the perfect balance between modern design, superb picture quality and comfort-enhancing functionality," said Hyoung-sei Park, head of the IT Business Division at LG Electronics. "LG will continue to create premium monitors to meet the changing needs of consumers in the home and in the office."

LG has been showcasing its short throw HD projector at the Sundance Film Festival. Guests at the Music Lodge VIP Lounge at the Sundance Film Festival can now catch a glimpse of LG's latest Laser TV projector. The 1080p short throw projector system was used to display this past Sunday's NFL Conference Championship games in the lounge, and will also be used as a backdrop for music videos during live performances.

HBO CEO: "When we premiere 'Game of Thrones' this year, we will be up on PS3." The PS3 has been a great all-around media device, and it continues to be a top option with the new consoles still in their media option infancy. With features like Blu-ray playback, DLNA compatibility, and streaming apps enjoyed by millions, the PS3 remains a go-to for many. Unfortunately, one area where the console has lagged behind involves the continual popular HBO Go streaming option for HBO customers.

The in-home cable streaming device is being discontinued in favor of new apps and features from the company. Comcast has announced plans to discontinue its AnyPlay streaming device. Launched in 2012, the separate streaming cable box allowed customers to watch live TV in their homes on their Android or iOS tablets and smartphones.

We tend to focus more on high-end gear than individual shows here on AV Rev but there are some things that you just can't ignore, like the cult classic known as 'Arrested Development.' The show is finally returning on May 26th, but not to TV. The show is exclusive to Netflix. This marks a potential for big change in the industry, and the first major show to move from TV to the internet. Not only does it mean a possible change in the way business is done, but it gives hope to fans of shows cancelled on traditional TV channels. If the show is a success on 'Netflix,' we could start to see some big changes. I
