It's been a while since we've heard from Oppo but they've finally announced a followup for the legendary BDP-93 and BDP-95.  The pair of players bring a lot to the table that weren't offered in the previous models, including a few features that you're not going to find on other players. With Oppo, you can almost assume that great video is included, and the Marvell Qdeo processing they've packed into the new BDP-103 and BDP-104 with shows that assumption to be correct.  The player upscales to 1080p of course, but also to 4K for your future TV or projector.  It also converts 2D to 3D.

You may see Nintendo's new system touted as revolutionary for its unique control schemes, but it’s the home theater connectivity that's particularly interesting.  The Wii U is the first console that's able to play nice with a vast majority of your video content.

If you're looking for a 3D projector that lets you get in depth with your adjustments, the PT-AE8000U will be right up your alley.  Not only does it offer 3D features previously only available in 2D – keystone correction, lens memory, powered zoom – but it provides an impressive amount of customization to boot.  Using 3D Picture Balance, for example, you can adjust color, brightness and contrast for each eye individually, rather than adjusting for the whole picture at once.

The big day is finally here! Apple has revealed their new goods, starting with the iPhone 5.  The most striking difference in design between the iPhone 5 and previous iterations is that it finally has a 16:9 aspect ratio.  Resolution isn't HD, but at 1136 x 640 it's not too terribly far off.  Considering the size of the phone, that might not matter too terribly much.
