Maxxsonics
USA, the parent company behind the Hifonics, Crunch and Autotek brands,
has purchased the Germany-based MB Quart. Maxxsonics describes the
acquisition as a strategic purchase that will enable the company to
extend its mobile auto-sound offerings to a wider distribution and
consumer base, providing it with a launch pad into the home,
multi-media and personal audio segments of the consumer electronics
industry. The acquisition ensures that MB Quart GmbH is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Maxxsonics Europe.
Maxxsonics plans to keep the MB Quart manufacturing facility in Germany, using it to make other Maxxsonics speaker products too. The company will also capitalize on the MB Quart brand name by enhancing an already strong headphone and headset category, rejuvenating the MB Quart home audio segment and entering the competitive multi-media speaker sector. In the USA, Maxxsonics intends to keep MB Quart’s current distribution model by continuing to service the mobile audio specialty retailer. Maxxsonics says it will maintain separate sales force, marketing strategies and distribution schemes for each of its brands. For more information please visit www.maxxsonics.com |
