Dolby Introduces Dolby TrueHD Advanced 96K Upsampling for Blu-ray
When it comes to sound, it doesn’t get much better than Blu-ray.  Or at least that’s what we thought before Dolby announced that they’re improving things even more.  They’re going to be using TrueHD technology along with 96K upsampling to provide the best audio possible for the home environment.  Dolby says that by improving the source of the lossless audio before encoding, they’re able to eliminate digital artifacts in the source material of 48K mastered recordings and restore the natural sound.

LG Previews Google TVs – Launch Imminent
It's been a little while since we've heard anything new out of the Google TV camp, but LG is putting quite a bit of investment into the platform.  The company's new Cinema 3D – for clarity's sake, that means passive – Google TVs are about to hit the market and they're looking incredibly appealing.

McIntosh Reveals a Power Amp, Controller and Blu-ray Player
The folks over at McIntosh have a trio of new products on the way, all designed to play nicely together or to integrate into your current system.  It kicks off with the MX121 AV Control Center, which includes 3D support, upconversion to 1080p, and a variety of audio features including Apple AirPlay.  You can pick it up at $6,000.

Onkyo Launches the First Music Service to Use Dolby TrueHD 5.1
When we talk about streaming music, you might think of the convenience of online services and the wide selection of music available.  You also might think of low bitrates and cruddy audio.  Dolby and Onkyo hope to change that – at least for Onkyo owners.

Wolf Launches New 3D Projectors Staring at $75k
The folks over at Wolf Cinema don't do things on the cheap.  That's not great if you're on a tight budget, but if you're the kind of person who doesn't mind shelling out for the top of the line, it's very good news indeed.
