Here’s a rock and roll SAT question for you.
Neil Young is to Pearl Jam as Aerosmith is to…… The answer… Kid Rock. In the late 90’s, Seattle’s Pearl Jam attached themselves at the hip with the original grandfather of grunge, Neil Young. In a similar marketing move, rapper/rocker Kid Rock has closely co-branded himself with one of the first bands to ever combine rap and rock music, Aerosmith. Having just completed a fifty-three date headlining tour in support of his platinum album Cocky, Kid Rock along with Aerosmith will hit the road together for a month-long co-headlining tour of North America. The tour will also feature special guests, legendary rappers Run-DMC, and kicks off on August 13, 2002 in Homdel, NJ and wraps up on September 14, 2002 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The majority of the dates are in the Northeast, including three shows in Aerosmith’s hometown of Boston, two shows in Wantagh, NY and three dates in Pennsylvania.
