In the wake of Vidikron’s parent company pulling the plug on the financing of that project (read story here) Gary Guidi, President of HI-REZ Projections, Inc. has entered into a partnership agreement with David Wolff, former General Manager of Vidikron of America, to market their own line of CRT front projection systems under the Crystal View brand name.
This line will compete directly in the cost-no-object, high performance CRT video projector market along with the likes of Runco, SIM2 Seleco, Madrigal Imaging and another Vidikron spin-off, Accurate Imaging, lead by Vidikron’s long time VP of International Sales, James Wellinitz. Crystal View has three CRT projector models -- the Crystal View 1, Crystal View 2, and Crystal View 3, which range in retail price from $28,000 to $60,000. One might assume the new projectors are not too different from the lauded Vidikron Vision Series. Crystal View Inc. stands firmly behind the performance of their products -- all projectors are backed by a limited two-year warranty. They will also send an ISF trained technician to your home for installation. No mention was made of Crystal View making a digital projector such as a DLP or D-ILA. |
