With perhaps the exception of the recently deceased Greatful Dead, Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones, there are few bands who appeal equally to two entire generations more than The Steve Miller Band. Every summer Steve Miller sells out "the sheds" aka: the 5,000 seat outdoor arenas found in every city in the country. High school and college students mingle with Baby Boomers to make up one of rock and roll's most diverse audiences. And all the better for Steve Miller who keeps selling records like no tomorrow.
Greatest Hits 1974-78 has all of the Steve Miller Band songs you need...ever. I am talking about "Swingtown," "Jungle Love," "Take The Money and Run," "Rock'N Me," "The Joker," and "Fly Like and Eagle." The sound quality is great as is most of the DCC releases. A transparent, well layered and not edgy high end makes the sound quality a good reason to make the pricey Steve Miller Band's Greatest Hits an investment.
