The K & D Sessions,
G-Stone Recordings | Performance 7 | Sound 8 | This album actually hit the shelves a few months back, but honestly, it took us some time to give it the credit it deserves. 'The K & D Sessions' is the remix work of Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister. It features pieces and bits of everything from Roni Size to Depeche Mode to Bone Thugs 'N Harmony--only some of which you would know had no one told you. All of the above and more are spliced, scratched, and interpolated in compelling new ways by this duo--and all of it works. This is a double disc record (sold mostly at a single disc price) that has everything the Ambient fan is looking for. Haunting melodies, sweeping soundstages, and just a dash of soul to make it all complete. Featuring over one hundred twenty-five minutes of music, it's tough to go wrong with a work of this quality, at this price. We recommend it highly. |
