We can all agree on a few things: UHDTVs look great, the massive sizes make them even more appealing, and that there absolutely needs to be content to watch on them. Despite the good points, that lack of content combined with high prices left a question as to just how well they'll sell.
As it turns out, they're doing just fine. In Korea, LG has already sold 300 of their $20,000 84LM9600 and they're on track to keep going. Considering Samsung only has 77 of its UHDTV up for preorder, this is a very good sign indeed. With early adopters scooping them up, it's not long before we see prices begin to drop and get within reach for more consumers.
