The folks at Amazon have slowly but surely turned their streaming service into something real and desirable, instead of just an afterthought.  The hybrid subscription/transactional service is available on a variety of game consoles, TVs and now it's arrived on the iPhone.  Unfortunately, it leaves a lot to be desired.

Amazon Prime for iPhone has one big issue that's not true of Netflix – you can't watch videos without Wi-Fi.  If you're on a cellular network, you get nothing.  The service also doesn't allow for AirPlay streaming or streaming when using an HDMI cable attachment.  If you're just hoping to watch videos on your phone in a Wi-Fi enabled area, you're good to go.  If you're looking for something more, this doesn't do much for you.
