Tablets and Smartphones are now being employed more as remotes and their capabilities are impressive. Regardless of what they can do though, there’s something incredibly inconvenient about needing to use your phone to control your TV, especially when there are so many other things you can do with it. Like make phone calls. Logitech recognized both the capabilities of touchscreens and the desire for a standalone remote when they created their new Harmony Touch.

The Harmony Touch takes away some, but not all, of the buttons you've come to expect in Logitech’s remotes and adds a 2.4 inch touchscreen for more complicated operations. It's also incredibly customizable, and can be set up to tune in to your favorite channel, as well as turn on your TV, sound system and cable box with the touch of a single button. The Touch is available now at $249.
