Regal and Sony Team to Bring Subtitle Glasses to Theaters

Going to the movies is an essential experience.  It's a standard date night, a window into different worlds and experiences, and a great way to kill a few hours.  Sadly, for folks with hearing disabilities, there just hasn't been a great way to enjoy films – until now.

Sony and Regal Entertainment are teaming up to bring subtitle glasses to a majority of Regal theaters across the U.S. The glasses add a line of closed caption subtitles to the film, adjustable to sit wherever you want it.  A simple snap-on filter will allow for 3D movies to be enjoyed without messing up the subtitles at all.

These glasses would be very useful for people with hearing loss in the UK.
Although most cinemas now have facilities to screen the latest films with
English-language subtitles & audio description for people with hearing or sight
loss, there are only around 1,000 subtitled shows every week around the UK. That
may sound a lot but it
