Pioneer Intros New Elite Receivers

The folks over at Pioneer have created a pair of Elite receivers designed to play nice with your network, improve the look of your video and do plenty else to boot. Both offer AirPlay for easy iPhone and iPad connection, DNLA compliance for all your digital files and 192kHz/24-bit DACs to ensure high audio quality.

The $450 VSX-42 gives you six HDMI inputs, wired ethernet, auto MCACC room calibration and Anchor Bay video processing, which takes care of 1080p upconversion. Kicking in some extra cash gets you the $650 VSX-60, which gives you an audio return channel, Marvell Qdeo processing and Advanced MCACC.
