Runco is known as a high-end brand and prices tend to reflect that. Your average man on the street can't afford a Runco projector, and his boss probably can't either. The latest from the company brings the price of entry for a 3D Runco projector down a bit, to $27,995. The LS-12d utilizes a three-chip DLP engine and offers a resolution of 1080p.
The LS-12d uses the SuperOnyx engine to provide improved black levels and adds ConstantContrast for frame-by-frame contrast correction. It also comes with the DC-300, which is also available separately at $9,995. The DC-300 is a separate component that acts as the processor and scaler for the projector and gives you a full suite of calibration tools to boot. The package of the two will be available in April at $27,995 - a bit more if you want a custom paint job. |
