Onkyo has announced a pair of new features coming to its receivers in 2012 but the coolest right up front is a tech called InstaPrevue. Using InstaPrevue, you can get a picture-in-picture view of what's happening on your other inputs. If you're watching Netflix while waiting for the game to start, you won't have to flip back and forth - just use InstaPrevue.
InstaPrevue only works with HDMI and MHL inputs - the other new thing to Onkyo receivers. MHL is the HD connection method that tends to be used by mobile phones and tablets and in the past you were forced to buy a converter to make it work. Onkyo's 2012 receivers will feature MHL connectivity for the first time, allowing you to hook up your phone with ease. |
