The Netflix streaming service is known for having plenty of movies and TV shows for you to watch at a nice low price.  It's also known for not having anything even close to new - something that the folks at Netflix are trying hard to change. This weekend they announced a new deal that's almost certainly a coup for the company.  'Arrested Development,' the prematurely cancelled Fox comedy series, is being brought back on the air.  Fox isn't going to be airing it though, nor is any TV channel.  The new episodes will be available exclusively on Netflix.

Netflix seems to be off to a good start when it comes to original content.  Their first big pickup, 'House of Cards,' the political thriller directed by and starring Kevin Spacey, will be hitting next year and 'Arrested Development' will hit in 2013. It should be very interesting to see what happens going forward.  If these shows are as successful as Netflix would like them to be, we could see a fairly significant shift in the marketplace.
