Ever since the possibility was made public - shortly after an offer by Yahoo that came completely out of the blue - we've been waiting to see what happens with Hulu. A sale to Amazon, Apple, Google or any of the other suitors could completely change the face of streaming media going forward. Thanks to disagreements between the owners of the company, a sale might not happen at all. In order to sell Hulu, NBC Universal, News Corp, Disney and Providence Equity Partners will all have to agree and that's not exactly a small task. The company will be entertaining offers next week and companies are expected to offer anywhere between $500 million and $2 billion. Perhaps seeing all those zeros will change some minds and we'll see some forward movement for Hulu. |
