Back before iPods, Android phones, laptops, netbooks and tablets, music fans focused on stereos. Onkyo wants to bring that focus back, and has launched the network enabled TX-8050 to help do it. The TX-8050 boasts connections for just about any device you have. You can plug in an MP3 player to the USB port in the front, a record player to the phono input in the back, or attach a CD player by the available analog or digital ports.
Hooking the TX-8050 up to the internet allows access to internet streaming and attaching it to your home network allows you to stream audio files of a wide variety of formats, including MP3, WMA, FLAC, WAV. To go along with the TX-8050, Onkyo has introduced the C-7030 CD player. It offers a high-precision clock that helps reduce timing errors and Onkyo's own VLSC which assists in the limitation of pulse noise. Both products will be available in April, with the C-7030 running $249 and the TX-8050 coming in at $399. |
