Sharp's New TV Boasts LED Backlighting and Built-in Wi-Fi, But No 3D

A year or two ago, every 3D television that came out was an event.  Now it's almost more newsworthy when a higher-end set comes out without 3D capabilities.The LE830 is Sharp's latest addition to its LCD TV lineup.  It comes in sizes ranging from 40 inches - $1,299 - all the way up to 60 inches, which will run you $2,799. 


It's built with the fourth-color adding Quattron technology that Sharp's known for and edge-lit by LEDs. Sharp's new set includes Wi-Fi capabilities that give you easy access to the internet for features like Netflix, Vudu and CinemaNow.  It's also incredibly efficient, and boasts Energy Star 5.1 compliance.The Sharp LE830 will be hitting shelves this month in 40, 46, 52 and 60 inch sizes.
