Though RealD is the current leader in theatrical 3D, Dolby is in hot pursuit.  The company's new 3D glasses are light, stylish, and cheap.  They're also made to be reused, instead of being recycled or trashed.

"We look to maintain the premium quality visual performance that Hollywood has come to expect from Dolby 3D, while providing a more comfortable fit for cinemagoers and a lower price point for exhibitors," says Dolby's Matt Cuson.  " The next-generation Dolby 3D glasses strike the perfect balance between style and performance."

Cuson goes on to explain that since they glasses are intended for multiple uses instead of just one, they actually end up being cheaper than disposable glasses when considered over multiple viewings. In addition to a new lower cost - $12 a pair - the glasses are able to be equipped with RFID tags for inventory tracking and anti-theft measures.
