Active shutter glasses not your thing? Looking for a set you can use your Oakley or Armani 3D glasses with? Don't want to shell out $200 every time someone sits on their fancy 3D glasses? LG's LW5700 may be for you.
LG calls it a flicker free TV, though it would be more accurately described as a set that uses passive technology to display 3D images. It's the same sort of 3D you'll find in movie theaters and it's compatible with the same dirt-cheap glasses. LG says that this technology allowed them to create a flicker free set that doesn't distract the viewer with any abnormalities while viewing. The experience is smooth and helps to eliminate dizziness and headaches. The LW5700 Cinema 3D TV is available now in Korea and will be going global in March. |
