We've been waiting for OLED so long that it seems like it's never actually going to happen.  LG is a little bit more optimistic though.

The company aims to be the number one provider of large OLED screens and is making some changes to accommodate that goal.  For starters, they're working up a new OLED production facility that will allow them to create appropriately sized panels without breaking the bank.

That's been the problem with OLED from the start.  Getting the panels to a price that most people are willing to pay while still producing attractive sets is a challenge, but LG says the new production line will change that.

This year, LG is going to be bringing a 31 inch 3D capable OLED television in the US and Europe, and they're planning a 55 inch prototype for 2012.  By 2013, they're hoping to be mass producing OLED televisions large enough to be welcome in living rooms.
