Whether you love or hate the iPad, you've got to admit that the applications of the device can be pretty cool.  It's also much more mainstream than other tablets, which means that it opens the doors for things like this.

DISH Network has announced that Android tablet users will now be able to access their DVR from said tablets.  You can jump on and schedule recordings, arrange your priorities and even use the tablet as a remote, but that's not all.

If you have a Sling enabled DVR, you'll be able to watch live, recorded and On Demand programming on your Android Tablet.

"DISH Network is the only pay-TV provider to offer a true TV everywhere solution, and now we've optimized that experience for the larger screen size of the Android tablets," says DISH Network officer Ira Bahr.  " Now Dish Network customers can enjoy their TV Everywhere experience on tablets like the Galaxy Tab, as well as the dozens of new Android-based tablet devices soon to be introduced."
