Pass Labs has built some of audiophiles' most beloved audio amplifiers. After the success of the of the concept form amp at last year's CES, demand has brought the product to manufacturing.
The Concept Amp series is a lineup of monoblock amplifiers with Ultra-Symmetry circuitry. The company notes that these new amps are "like large versions of the company's flagship XA200.5 Amplifier." There are two sizes to this series. The large size will deliver about 300 watts and equates to the size of two XA200.5 amps. The smaller unit delivers 200 watts and equals the size of two XA160.5 amps. Audiophile amplification doesn't come cheap. The Concept Amp Series will be shipping later this year at $70,000/pair for the larger series and $45,000/pair for the smaller series. |
