Disney is seemingly the leader in 3D releases, with "A Christmas Carol, "Alice In Wonderland" and "Step Up 3D" being some of the best 3D Blu-ray releases last year.  Now they are promising a lot more to look forward to in 2011.

Disney is currently working on "dimensionalizing" the classic Disney animations.  Four specific titles have been announced with at least 11 more to come throughout the year.  Leading the 3D Disney releases this year will be "Tron: Legacy" and "Tangled."  Disney has already confirmed that "Beauty And The Beast" and "The Lion King" will also be released.  All releases with be 3D/2D combo packs, and likely a DVD or Digital Copy.

"Beauty And The Beast" has already been released in a 4-disc Blu-ray set, and like "Alice In Wonderland," will be fully released once again with an added 3D Blu-ray disc.

Disney has also confirmed that other titles to be released in 3D include "Bolt," "Meet The Robinsons," "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas," "G-Force" and "Chicken Little."

David Allgood  - 3d is cool only problem no 3d movies it's a joke   |2011-01-05 12:50:58
The new 3D EXPERIANCE AT FIRST WAS A BIG WOW. But after spending $500 to $600
for 3d glasses /blueray 3d player/ HD 3d TV. I find out I have a total of 4 3d
movies to choose from and and 2 of the four suck. Do yourself a favor unless you
have more money then since wait a year before going 3d.
