There are two things that Samsung loves, 3D and thin electronics.  The latest product to launch from the company is a very slick combination of both - an incredibly slim 3D Blu-ray player.

Samsung is going to be showing off their new player at CES and hasn't talked much about pricing, release windows or even the basic specs, but from the pictures released we can tell that the new player is a little bit different.

Rather than using a tray like most players, Samsung's new Blu-ray player is a side loader.  Even more appropriate to the term though, the disc slot is actually on the side of the player.  It may be a great design choice when it comes to aesthetics, but having to reach around to the side to put in and take out discs may not be great in terms of convenience.
