The JC 3 is a dual mono design that utilizes Vampire RCA jacks and Neutrik XLR jacks for the best connection possible.  Rather than the toroidal transformer often found in preamps, the JC 3 uses a R-core to keep the preamp noise free. 

Signal to noise ratio on the JC 3 is 83dB with the MM input and 73dB for the MC.  It also boasts a 12v trigger input, AC line polarity reverse and the ability to switch between 115V and 240V power.
