Yamaha has a long tradition with A/V receivers, but traditional is a word that can't be used to describe the neoHD series.

The neoHD YMC-500 and YMC-700 are streamlined receivers that allow users to control all of their devices using a simple graphical user interface.  They also look unlike anything else currently on the market.

Yamaha is hoping to spark more interest for these two receivers and help out existing owners by adding a bit of functionality.  Both receivers now offer access to Pandora internet radio service, which allows you to get a nice stream of music going.  The 700 is getting an additional update that will allow users to control all their connected IR devices using an iPhone or iPad.

Both receivers got a nice price drop too.  The YMC-500 is now only $299, while the more capable YMC-700 comes in at $499.
