The CEA and CES Open to Consumers
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) is at long last opening its doors to those who work outside of the consumer electronics industry.  No matter what your occupation or interest, you'll be able to join the CEA as a Consumer Technology Enthusiast, or CTE.

CTEs will be able to test new products, join an online community and get insider information on the industry.  In addition, you can get access to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this January.  The first 1,000 CTEs will be invited to attend on the last day of the show, Sunday January 9th.

Registration opens on November 9th, which is when we'll have information about pricing and other specifics.  It's a nice bonus, whether you live in the area or you're just looking for a good excuse for a trip to Vegas.
