There aren't a lot of great new titles on Blu-ray this week, and unless you were a fan of the disastrous 'Jonah Hex,' catalog titles may be the way to go.
How to Train Your Dragon Alright, there's one good new release hitting the shelves this week. 'How to Train Your Dragon' is a DreamWorks picture starring a slew of great comedic actors - Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kristen Wiig – as well as Gerard Butler. 3D fans are in for some disappointment though, since a 3D Blu-ray release is still on the way. Dio: Holy Diver – Live The metal world lost one of its greatest voices this year. Ronnie James Dio may be gone, but you can still enjoy his amazing performances on Blu-ray, including this show from October of 2005. Even at 63, Dio still belts out the songs like he did when he was young, and the show includes hits from Rainbow and Black Sabbath in addition to Dio's own work. The Original Christmas Classics Collection Sure it's October, but that doesn't mean you can't start stocking up. This three disc collection includes three absolute classic Christmas movies, including the Rankin/Bass versions of 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,' 'Frosty the Snowman,' 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town,' and the Classic Media helmed 'Frosty Returned,' which doesn't really hold a candle to the others. Also Coming Out This Week: Bangkok Adrenaline The BBC High-Definition Natural History Collection 2 Callas Forever The Darjeeling Limited Dollhouse: Season 2 The Hangover: Extreme Edition I Am Love Jonah Hex Kevin Hart: I'm a Little Man Ladies and Gentlemen... The Rolling Stones The Lost Boys: The Thirst The Magician Mega Piranha The Oxford Murders Red Dragon Rudolph: The Red-Nosed Reindeer S&Man Score: Uncut & Uncensored Sex and Lucia Three Kings Warren Miller's Dynasty Wolverine and the X-Men: The Complete Series |
