It's not the most impressive week at the theaters, but it's hard to follow the lineup from last week.  If you're looking for a horror movie to start the Halloween season off right though, you're in luck.

My Soul To Take

The latest flick from Wes Craven wasn't screened for critics, but that's not entirely unusual for horror movies.  It's about a killer who comes back to haunt seven children who were born on the day he allegedly died.  It stars absolutely no one you'd know, but it's bound to be filled with the sort of bloody violence that just feels right in October.

Secretariat

If you've seen one feel-good sports movie from Disney, you've essentially seen them all.  That doesn't make them any less enjoyable if you're in the right mood though.  'Secretariat' is the story of a horse and its owner who defy the odds and go on to be the greatest of all time.  It stars Diane Lane and John Malkovich and was written by Mike Rich, who penned 'The Rookie' and 'Radio.'

Life as We Know It

You're going to want to avoid this one.  It's not just because the stars Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl aren't funny or that the writers and director have done absolutely nothing of value.  It's a combination of all of that wrapped up in the fact that the premise of movie is as funny as it is likely.
