We all remember back a few years ago when the BDP-83 launched , bringing high-end features at a mid-level price.  It was an impressive player then, and while it's still impressive now, it lacks some of the capabilities of newer players.  The BDP-93 is Oppo's answer to that criticism.

The BDP-93 does just about everything the 83 did, plus a whole lot more.  It can handle 3D Blu-rays and features a pair of HDMI outputs for those looking to power two displays or simply separate the audio and the video.

It also boasts built-in wireless N capabilities that allow it to stream movies from Netflix, CinemaNow and a few more partners that are as of yet unannounced.  It's also got a new Marvell KYOTO G2 chipset and Qdeo video processing.

When the BDP-93 is made available, it will cost $499, just like the BDP-83 before it.  In an interview with Audioholics, the folks from Oppo also mentioned a higher end version of the BD-93, akin to the BDP-83SE.
