If you're the proud owner of a 3D TV, you may have noticed that there's not a lot out in terms of content. You've got a few Blu-rays and the occasional 3D broadcast, but your viewing options are pretty limited. But if you happen to subscribe to Comcast, you can get a bit of extra content absolutely free.
Just swing on over to the On Demand menu and pick Free Movies. You'll
see an option for 3D, which is where all that juicy 3D content is
stored.
Don't get too excited about seeing big budget Hollywood blockbusters in
there – you're getting eight selections that you've probably never heard
of. There are three documentaries in the lineup, a Siegfried and Roy
magic show and four short 3D movies that run an hour or so long. The
quality of the content may not be amazing, but the quality of the 3D
effect is said to be quite impressive.
If you run into problems when viewing the movies, you may need to adjust
your cable box to 1080i manually, since the automatic resolution
setting sometimes decides these movies are 480p.
