When you think of companies that have jumped feet first into the 3D game you think Samsung, Sony and Panasonic.  This year, JVC is taking a big leap by announcing not one or two but six brand new 3D capable projector models.

The DLA-X9 is at the top of the line for the consumer market, right alongside the commercially oriented DLA-RS60.  "No other three-chip projectors in the home theater market can match the amazing 100,000:1 native contrast ratio of the DLA-RS60 or DLA-X9," says engineering manager Gary Klasmeier.

The DLA-RS50 and DLA-X7 offer a 70,000:1 contrast ratio while the DLA-RS40 and DLA-X3 sport a still impressive 50,000:1.

All of JVC's new projectors utilize active shutter glasses and an external emitter, but only the flagship models come with the emitter and two pairs of glasses.  The four top models are currently being tested by THX and are expected by JVC to receive certification.

All of these new 3D projectors will be available in November.  The DLA-RS60 and DLA-X9 will sell for $11,995, the DLA-RS50 and DLA-X7 will run $7,795 and the DLA-RS40 and DLA-X3 come in at $4,495.

Glasses will be sold separately at $179, while the 3D signal emitter will run $79 when purchased on its own.  Like the projectors themselves, these accessories will be available in November.
