The folks at MartinLogan say that the EM ESL is more like a mini-flagship than an entry-level speaker.  It utilizes a 34 inch tall Xstat electrostatic transducer and MartinLogan's new larger Folded Motion XT tweeter.

The EM ESL sports an eight inch woofer designed by in-house engineers.  It optimizes cone suspension and magnetic flux field to minimize distortion while maximizing output. 

The ESL starts at just $1,995 a pair and will be shipping in March 2011.  Matching center and surround channels will debut shortly after.
