PSB teamed up with NAD when it came time to create the SubSeries 300.   Together they created a custom NAD power amplifier just for the new sub, which seems to be yielding tremendous results – the amplifier can push 850 watts peak dynamic power and 300 watts continuous power at less than 0.08 percent total harmonic distortion.

The SubSeries 300 utilizes a Class D discrete MOSFET amplifier output stage that's 90 percent efficient so more power can be created with less energy being expended.  When in standby, the 300 uses less than 0.5 watts.

The small cabinet houses a 12 inch woofer with a polypropylene cone, a butyl rubber surround, a high power 2 inch voice coil and a 50 ounce magnet.  Thanks to an internally and externally radiused 3 inch firing port, PSB says that port noise is virtually nonexistent.
