Some sets are designed to show off the best technology around, while others are made to showcase a new feature. Toshiba's UL605 and SL400 aren't those TVs, but they do carry good value for the dollar.
The SL400 is designed as a television for rooms where you'll be viewing less often, like the kitchen, bedroom or bathroom. It's capable of 720p video, features a pair of HDMI inputs and a USB port for photos and music. You can get it in a range from 19 inches ($349) up to 32 inches ($699). Toshiba's UL605 is a little more exciting, and sports a 1080p resolution, LED edge lighting and ClearFrame 120Hz technology. It also features NetCast, which gets you access to a full suite of streaming videos and music, including Vudu and Pandora. It also comes packed with a WiFi adapter so you don't have to run a cord. The UL605 is available now at a price of $1,399 for 40 inches, $1,699 for 46 inches and $2,499 for 55 inches. |
