If there's been one consensus on the internet for the last year or two, it's been that the Boxee Box is going to be great.  Other media players have come and gone, but the excitement for the Boxee Box remains at a peak – and it's finally available.

You can pick up the Boxee Box now on Amazon for $199, despite a bit of a price snafu earlier in the day.  It does everything you'd expect it to do, but it does so with a different processor than originally announced.

Initially, D-Link was using an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip to run the Boxee Box, but the latest press release reveals an Intel Atom CE4100.  That's the same chip that's said to be powering the first wave of Google TV products that hit the market.

Folks are excited about the Box, especially those within the companies producing it.  "This represents long overdue innovation to the entertainment experience," says Brent Collins of D-Link.  "We are leading a revolution that will offer tremendous new possibilities in the home."  The Boxee Box is set to ship this November.
