The Cinema 21:9 is a television designed for movies, plain and simple.  It's unique aspect ratio makes it the perfect television for enjoying Blu-rays in theatrical resolutions and without having to deal with black bars on the top and bottom of your screen.

It's a cool setup, and it's getting cooler with the new Cinema 21:9 Platinum, which adds 3D into the mix.  The Platinum version of the incredibly wide screen television introduces a 400Hz panel and new LED technology designed to give the best 3D picture around.

Philips also upped the quality of the popular ambient light that pops up behind your set for better immersion.  For the first time ever, Philips Ambilight can adapt to different wall colors. You'll be able to pick up these sets for 4,000 Euros which converts to around $5,100.  Each set comes with two pairs of Active 3D glasses.
