Schneider Kreuznach may not be a household name, but the longstanding company is the maker of the most widely used anamorphic lenses in the world.  If you've been to the movies recently, you've probably seen a Schneider lens used without even knowing it.

That same theater quality is available to order now for home use with the launch of the CDA 1.33x EL Home Cinema and Cine-Digitar Anamorphic MF Premiere Lenses.   The Home Cinema lens is designed for use with small and medium sized projectors, and provides the Cinemascope look at a less costly price.  "While we make other high end anamorphic elements," says sales manager Brian Ludvigson, "our team recognizes in this economy it is important to also offer a cost-effective alternative."

The Premiere, on the other hand, is made for those willing to spare no expense for the optimum in picture quality.  It can be used on projectors with chip sizes up to 2.3 inches including 4K and commercial grade units. Both lenses are available to order now, and are scheduled to ship this fall.
