Simply Home Entertainment, a new custom home theater design firm founded by Christopher Hansen (Christopher Hansen Ltd.) and Timothy Duffy (Ambrosia AV, EggelstonWorks, Theater Design Concepts), today acquired Cello Technologies Los Angeles from Cello Technologies Corporate, which is based in Falls Church, Virginia.Simply Home Entertainment will take on the responsibility of finishing all existing and pending projects underway with Cello Technologies Los Angeles. Simply Home Entertainment will also maintain all of Cello L.A.’s existing clients. In the past 18 months, Cello Technologies Corporate had acquired top design firms in many of the largest cities in the United States, including Cello Music and Film locations in New York and Los Angeles, ESC in Aspen, Colorado and The Audible Difference in Palo Alto, California. The acquisitions were made in order to compete nationally with retail establishments like B&O for the $100,000+ theater system and home integration projects. Now, mid-2000, Cello Technologies is backing out of its emphasis on beautiful design centers and is instead working deals to its national showrooms back into local design firms again. Cello Corporate closed its proprietary manufacturing operation a few weeks ago. Cello has announced that the elegant Cello Restaraunt in Manhattan will continue as is. Cello Studios (formerly Ocean Way) will remain open for business as usual. Cello Recordings has been closed. According to Timothy Duffy, "Simply Home Entertainment is dedicated to taking care of Cello’s current and existing clients, as well as selling, designing and implementing the best AV systems in the world." Simply Home Entertainment can be reached at 310.571.1750 by telephone or 310.571.1751 by fax. Timothy Duffy can be reached directly at 310.874.8644. |
